Bob Chilcott

"A contemporary hero of British choral music" - The Observer

"One of the finest choral composers at work in Britain today" - Gramaphone

Bob Chilcott has been involved with choral music all his life, first as a Chorister and then a Choral Scholar at King's College, Cambridge. Later, he sang and composed music for 12 years with The King's Singers. His own experiences have given him a passionate commitment to young and amateur choirs. We are delighted to welcome Bob back to our 2017 Singing Day and to offer all singers the opportunity to enjoy singing under his direction.

The Society has previously held eight successful singing days with eminent composers and conductors, including two with Bob Chilcott in 2010 and 2012.
