The important role played by sponsors in the Society's activities

Congleton Choral Society's mission is to bring great music, performed to a high standard, to the local community and to the north-west area. Staging concerts with professional soloists and orchestras, as we do, is an expensive undertaking; costs cannot be fully covered by income from ticket sales, members' subscriptions, or by the Society's lively and pro-active fund-raising programme which runs throughout the year.

We welcome all donations (large or small) and financial sponsorship from community organisations, businesses and individuals. If you or your organisation would be interested in making a contribution to help support the Society, please contact:

sponsorship@congletonchoralsociety.org.uk or telephone 01270 765330.

Congleton Choral Society is grateful to the following organisations for their generous support

Pecks Restaurant kindly donated two generous raffle prizes. A voucher for Afternoon Tea for Two was given as first prize at the 2017 Summer Concert of English Music. The second voucher will be awarded as first prize in the raffle at the 2017 Autumn concert.

A donation from Cheshire Freemasons' Charity enabled the Society to purchase a full set of new scores for Bach's St John Passion, performed in April 2017. The score will in future be hired out to other choirs, raising further funds for the society.

Local company Berisfords Ribbons and Trimmings gave a donation to support our performance of Handel's Messiah with the Northern Baroque Sinfonia and professional soloists in November 2016. The Society extends special thanks to Berisfords Managing Director Peter Bowers for this generous support. Berisfords also very kindly provides invaluable ongoing support by storing the extra staging used at our concerts, for which we are most grateful.

Cheshire East Council gave generous financial support for our concert Of Love and Music, July 2015. The performance included Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, featuring a stunning orchestral ensemble of percussion and timpani players, and an appearance by Congleton Children's Choir.

Congleton Town Council made a generous donation to our concert Of Love and Music, July 2015. The Town Council gives the Society continuous ongoing support by making the Town Hall available for our performances at a discounted hire rate.
